The American Bison skins are thick and flawless as is the lacing used to stretch them taut and tuned to perfection. These drum heads maintain their tone even on the most humid days. The Cottonwood shell is sturdy, yet light and easy to carry.
The asymmetrical shell is 18" tall. The male side is 19" at its widest and 18" on the narrow side. The female side is 21" at its widest and 16" on the narrow side. The fact that buffalo skin is used makes this drum unique, since buffalo is not indigenous to Taos or the surrounding territory. This drum is special!
